The position tasks as CO2 target monitoring, management of sustainability communication projects and employee engagement. Each of the roles refers to high engagement and commitment with stakeholders. As sustainability analyst you are responsible to identify and measure our carbon zero targets. Together with respective colleagues you set new goals and standards regarding sustainability in the business units: You improve climate regulation and the social sustainability conditions in the transport and logistics' supply chain. You contribute to target monitoring and facilitate alignment to DB Schenker's strategy. Engage with internal stakeholders to enhance their knowledge on sustainability, raise awareness for the targets and ensure alignment by conducting workshops. You drive forward sustainable change through effective influencing of sustainability aspects in the business., We are looking for a Sustainability Analyst who wants to shape the future of DB Schenker and our ambition to be #sustainabilityleader in logistics industry. As Sustainability Analyst you are working in a team of global sustainability experts to ensure the implementation of the sustainability goals of DB Schenker on a global scale. In your position you cross-link all topics of sustainability. You are working on global ecological topics such as emissions calculations but also on social topics such as sustainable supply chain design. You inform our stakeholders on DB Schenker's sustainability performance and enable employees to include sustainability aspects into their daily routines.
To be successful in the above role, the incumbent should possess/ display the following key skills/ attributes: * Enthusiastic about sustainability and motivated to drive change in the organization with a high level of engagement * Masters's or Bachelor's degree in sustainability science or equivalent and first working experience in the field of sustainability with strong grounding in logistics business * Sound and cross-linked knowledge on key sustainability issues, including international standards and best practices * In-depth knowledge in: + sustainability in logistic supply chain + carbon emission calculation and mechanisms + environmental and sustainability topics + communication and marketing skills * Able to manage the needs of various internal and external stakeholders * Entrepreneurial mindset, sense of responsibility and willingness to take initiative * Excellent level of interpersonal skills to work effectively and with multicultural sensibility with others and achieve results * Advanced analytical skills and ability to break down complex issues * Ability to work self-driven, to prioritize tasks as per needs according to targets and deadlines and leadership expectation * Developed presentation and problem-solving skills * Good written and verbal communication skills in English and German * Willingness to travel when necessary * High affinity to IT processes and data * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
